The Honourable Federal Commissioner of the Public Complaints Commission representing Anambra State, Hon Emmanuel Muoka, had commended Rt. Hon. Bashir Abubakar, the Chief Commissioner of the Commission for the various achiements so far recorded by the commission under his watch.
Hon Muoka, who spoke on the sideline during the
Grand Finale of the Global Ombudsman Summit which was also celebrated to mark the 50th anniversary of the existence of the Commission in Nigeria, said as the chief driver of the commission, Rt. Hon. Bashir Abubakar, has turned the fortunes of the commission for better by repositioning it as a force in the global Ombudsman family, where Nigeria is highly rated and respected for her proactive approach on issues and problems of the citizenry.

The occasion which had the theme, “Effective Ombudsman Institution: Catalyst For Good Governance” and the sub themes, “Ombudsman Mission Under Democratic Governance, Alternative Dispute Resolution Panacea for Sustainable Peace and Development”, was held at the Ladi Kwali Conference Center, Abuja Continental Hotel and attracted participation from persons across all walks of life and even people from the diaspora.
Hon Muoka while expressing satisfaction on the huge success of the event, disclosed that the current leadership of the Commission was committed to achieving its mandate substantially and sued for the cooperation of the members of the Public.
He also called for more government support to the commission at state and local state levels, adding that such supports will help to strengthen the commission to enable serve Nigerians more.
