President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to depart Abuja on Wednesday, November 27, for a three-day state visit to France at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron.
The visit aims to deepen political, economic, and cultural ties between Nigeria and France, focusing on fostering collaboration in key sectors.

According to a statement from Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, President Tinubu will be joined by First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu for a series of high-level engagements and events.

Discussions between the two leaders will focus on critical areas such as agriculture, security, education, health, youth engagement, innovation, and energy transition.

One key highlight will be talks on creating opportunities for Nigerian youth, with an emphasis on skill development in automation, entrepreneurship, and leadership.

The visit will also include political and diplomatic meetings centered on finance, solid minerals, trade and investment, and communication.

Both presidents are scheduled to participate in a session of the France-Nigeria Business Council, which aims to foster private-sector collaboration to drive economic growth and development.

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu will meet with Brigitte Macron to discuss initiatives focused on empowering women, children, and vulnerable groups. Senator Tinubu will showcase her work under the Renewed Hope Initiative, which seeks to uplift underprivileged communities.

The three-day visit will conclude with a state dinner hosted by President Macron in honor of the Nigerian delegation, reflecting the importance of the relationship between the two nations.

Accompanying President Tinubu on this trip are top government officials, underscoring Nigeria’s commitment to advancing global partnerships and fostering sustainable economic growth.
