The National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), Katsina State Council, has issued a stern warning to the state government, threatening to withdraw its members from frontline local government areas due to unresolved security and welfare issues.
The association announced that a two-day warning strike would commence on Thursday, January 30, 2025. If their demands remain unmet, they plan to embark on an indefinite strike.
The affected frontline local government areas include Batsari, Funtua, Malumfashi, Kankara, Kurfi, Danmusa, and Jibia, which are prone to insecurity.
NANNM emphasized that its members face increasing dangers and deserve improved welfare and security measures to continue delivering essential healthcare services in these volatile regions.
