Ayra Starr

Ayra Starr has officially etched her name in the history books, becoming the first Nigerian female artist to surpass 1 billion views on YouTube a groundbreaking milestone that cements her place among Afrobeat royalty.

At just 23, the fast-rising star has overtaken the previous record held by Yemi Alade, who had long reigned as the most viewed Nigerian female artist with 805 million views.

Ayra Starr’s massive achievement is largely fueled by the global success of her Grammy-nominated hit “Rush”, which alone has garnered over 450 million views on the platform.

With this feat, Ayra Starr joins an elite group of Nigerian artists   including Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Rema, Ckay, P-Square, Kizz Daniel, Omah Lay, Flavour, Fireboy, and Tekno who have crossed the billion-view benchmark on YouTube
