In order to strengthen the existing relationship between the Public Complaints Commission and the Nigerian Correctional Service in Anambra State, the Honourable Federal Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission in charge of Anambra State, Hon. Emmanuel Okechukwu Muoka recently paid a working visit to the Controller, Nigerian Correctional Service, Anambra State Command, Mr. Valentine Ikechukwu Paul (VIP) Nwosu, at the Command’s office located within the Federal Secretariat Complex, Awka Anambra State
According to Commissioner Muoka while addressing his host, the visit ” is also aimed at fostering collaboration in the fight against corruption, injustice, and maladministration in Anambra State.”
Hon. Muoka emphasized the commission’s role in fighting administrative injustice and providing a platform for citizens to express concerns and grievances against public and private institutions.
He highlighted the importance of collaboration between the two agencies in promoting social justice and protecting human rights.
In his speech, Mr. Nwosu expressed satisfaction with the visit and pledged to extend full support and cooperation to the Public Complaints Commission to achieve their shared goals.
He emphasized the need for collective efforts in addressing the challenges facing the state and promoting good governance. Key highlights of the visit included the presentation of the Public Complaints Commission Act and other booklets to the Controller. The visit also provided an opportunity for both agencies to discuss areas of mutual interest and explore ways of strengthening their partnership.
Hon. Muoka was accompanied by the State Director of Investigation, Assistant Director of Administration, the PRO and other staff members. The top management officers of the Command were also in attendance.
