President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday paid a solemn visit to victims of the recent herdsmen attacks in Benue State, where dozens were killed and several others injured in renewed violence that has shaken the state.
Accompanied by Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, the President visited a hospital where survivors of the attacks are receiving treatment. Distressing images released by the State House showed the President interacting with wounded victims at their bedsides—some bearing visible and severe injuries.
Before concluding his visit, the President is also expected to hold strategic meetings with traditional rulers, security agencies, and displaced persons in camps across the region
