The Chairman of Idemili North Commercial Tricycle Welfare Association, Chief Arinze Nwankwo Idemili Onoja has assured commuters plying Anambra roads that they will partner with Anambra Traffic Management Agency ( ATMA) to ensure free flow of vehicles during and after the yuletide.
Speaking during the End of Year Get Together held by the Obosi Road Keke Drivers Welfare Association at Nkpor, Idemili North LGA,Chief Idemili Onoja said that even before the Christmas season traffic gridlocks formally experienced at some popular roundabouts or road junctions
had reduced drastically since the reorganization and establishment of Keke Parks all over the major cities of state.
“We have been sensitizing our Keke Drivers to obey traffic rules, avoid picking or dropping passengers indiscriminately on the road. We even have a taskforce team that monitor defaulters who pay certain fines to serve as a deterrent. Now passengers can only embark on or alight from our Keke at designated Bus Stops and Keke Parks.
“Gone were times people spent several days on Anambra roads while coming for Christmas celebration. Go to Nkpor old road Junction, Afor Nkpor, Eke Nkpor,Ugwu Nwasike roundabouts New parts flyover, Ukwuudara Obosi junction, Obosi bypass, and so where motorist use to experience traffic jam some years back partly contributed by indecent driving of commercial drivers now enjoy free flow of traffic at almost any time of the day.
“I want to use this opportunity to eulogize our solution Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo who is very busy building new roads and maintaining the old ones to ensure free movement and security of road users. “Ochilimma ga Achi’ ozo’ Nobody can unseat him in the next Anambra 2025 election.
Idemili Onoja who is also the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA Chairman Nkpor Ward 2 also commended the Mayor of Idemili North LGA, Chief Stanley Nkwoka for bringing governance to the grassroots describing him as a man he is always available to handle things on ground not just issuing orders or mere talking from the Ogidi Secretariat.
However, after thanking God for helping the drivers this year Idemili Onoja prayed that God will continue to bless, protect and provide for all his colleagues throughout the yuletide.
