The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Delta State Command on monday, 25th of August, 2025, received a new state Commandant.
The new state Commandant, Chinedu Fabian Igbo, who arrived the State Command Headquarters, Asaba at about 1220hrs, was received by the out-going State Commandant, ACG Matthew Sunday Ovye

CD Public Public Relations Officer in the state command disclosed that the entire handover process was successfully conducted and afterwards the management staff were introduced to Commandant Igbo.
Commandant Igbo, an astute combatant and core professional took over the leadership of the command and immediately hit the ground running by appreciating God for making the day a reality. He also expressed gratitude to the Commandant General, Prof. AHMED ABUBAKAR AUDI mni, OFR, for counting him worthy to undertake this great task, and promised to align with the Commandant General’s vision to re-gig, revamp, revitalize, restructure and reposition the Corps until it becomes a world-class agency by discharging his duties in the command with integrity, dedication and utmost loyalty.
The State Commandant then held a meeting with the entire staff of the Command, where he charged officers to reinvigorate their stance for professionalism in the discharge of their duties and brace up for greater impact. He hinted officers on his working principles which are anchored on professionalism, INTELLIGENCE GATHERING, OPERATIONS and PROTECTION OF CRITICAL NATIONAL ASSETS AND INFRASTRUCTURE.
The State Commandant, a tested and proven Administrator of immense repute didn’t hide his distaste for Indiscipline and laziness among officers and warned strictly that such vices will not be tolerated.
He noted that when the ongoing promotion exam is over, the entire management staff will meet to chart a new road map for the advancement of the command.
Commandant Igbo concluded by promising to build on the successes of his predecessors while assuring officers of a Purposeful and rewarding Administration which will promote the image of the Corps in Delta state.
