A high court sitting in Lagos on Thursday convicted a former Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Dr. Oluwafemi Thomas, over his involvement in $2,198,900.00 fraud.
A terse statement issued by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said Thomas was convicted alongside Kabiru Sidi, a Bureau De Change operator on money laundering charges related to illegal acquisition of funds.
