
Saudi Arabia has confirmed that the crescent moon of Shawwal has been sighted, signaling the end of Ramadan and the beginning of Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
According to an announcement on Haramain’s official Facebook page, the Islamic holiday will be observed on Sunday, March 30, 2025.
“The crescent moon for the month of Shawwal 1446 was sighted in Saudi Arabia. Therefore, Eid Al-Fitr will be celebrated on Sunday, March 30, 2025,” the statement read.
Eid al-Fitr marks the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan, during which Muslims worldwide fast from dawn to dusk. The holiday is traditionally celebrated with prayers, feasting, and acts of charity.
