President Bola Tinubu touched down at Enugu’s Akanu Ibiam International Airport on Saturday, arriving aboard the Nigeria Air Force Airbus A330 at approximately 1:22 PM for a one-day official visit.
Welcoming the President were Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, Abia State Governor Alex Otti, the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu, former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim, Minister of Works Dave Umahi, prominent businessman Arthur Ezeh, and other prominent Igbo leaders.
According to a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Chidiebere Onyia, President Tinubu will inaugurate the Enugu International Conference Centre, a signature project of the Mbah administration.
Additionally, Tinubu will commission 30 of the 260 Enugu Smart Green Schools and 60 of the 260 Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres that have been completed across the state’s wards. Other projects to be unveiled include 90 urban roads within Enugu City, the state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre, 150 AI-enabled patrol vehicles, and multiple rural roads.
The President’s agenda underscores his commitment to fostering development across various sectors in the region during his visit.
