The Enugwu-Agidi Stakeholders Forum (ESF) has issued a rejoinder to an open letter addressed to Hon. Commissioner Tony Collins Nwabunwanne, clarifying allegations made against its Chairman, Amb. Prince (Dr.) Emeka Egwuekwe.

In the rejoinder letter made available to pressmen over the week, ESF commends Prince (Dr.) Chinedu C. Ikeanyi for his historical account of Enugwu-Agidi but disputes his claims regarding the Chairman’s involvement in town affairs. ESF asserts that its Chairman has been instrumental in promoting peace and reconciliation in Enugwu-Agidi, and that allegations of compromise are unfounded.

According to ESF, Prince (Dr.) Chinedu C. Ikeanyi’s claims are based on incomplete information, and the forum provides additional context to refute the allegations. ESF demands an apology and withdrawal of the open letter, citing damage to its Chairman’s reputation.

Key points of the letter is that ESF Chairman, Amb. Prince (Dr.) Emeka Egwuekwe, was appointed to broker peace between warring factions in Enugwu-Agidi, and ESF led fact-finding missions and submitted recommendations to resolve the crisis.
Prominent Anambra individuals, including Hon. Commissioner Tony Collins Nwabunwanne, intervened in the matter. ESF asserts its Chairman’s efforts have been misrepresented and demands apology.

The ESF Secretary, Sir John Uche Okafor (KSJI), signed the rejoinder, stating that the forum will not engage in further controversy but seeks clarification and vindication.
