Ex-minister of women affairs, Tallen, mourns only son, Richard

The immediate past Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen, has loss his only son Richard Adamu Tallen.

Richard passed away on the morning of Sunday, October 6, at Cedar Crest Hospital in Abuja after being hospitalised.

Reports indicate that while the exact cause of his death has not been disclosed, Richard was placed on oxygen in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on Friday night, October 4.

 

Confirming the news, Richard’s alma mater, the Vom Old Boys’ Association (VOBA), shared the heartbreaking announcement on social media.

“On a very sad note, we regret to announce the sudden passing of our member, Mr. Richard Adamu Tallen. Eternal rest grant unto him, oh Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him,” the group posted on Facebook.

Richard, aged 42, was a graduate of Computer Science from a university in the United States. He leaves behind a wife and three children.

Funeral arrangements for Richard is said to be announced by the family in due course.
