The founder of Seitac Initiative, a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) Engr. Uzo Okoye built grotto of our Mother of Perpetual Help in the memory of late Mrs Augustina Ogonna ( Onyekaokwu)Morah.
The grotto was solemnly blessed by his Lordship Most Rev.Benson Jonas Okoye, the Catholic Bishop of Nnewi Diocese on Monday, 1st of April, 2024 during the dedication of St Francis of Assis Parish Umuezeagu Uruagu Nnewi.
Speaking with the journalists, Engr Uzo said that Seitec Initiative was known for empowerment ,voluntary services and evangelism.
He revealed that he built the first grotto in memory of his late father.He continued to disclose that he did all these to support the work of God.
“Our mother Mary is a supreme intercessor which I have tested with testimonies,” he added
He disclosed that he chose to build the grotto of Blessed Mother Mary because of love between mother and child, husband and wife.
“Women have great influence in families, so I built this crotto in honour of mothers and wives all over over the world, “he said
Uzo urged the worshippers to see the crotto as a place of worship.
According to him, he said that whatever one desired in life would be made possible when he prayed.
He advised parents to instill good values in their children.
Uzo said parents have strong roles to play in raising God fearing children.
He revealed that he started doing the work of God and humanity because of his foundation.
“Serving God must start from the family which is the first church.My parents inculcated good values in me, ” he said
Engr Uzo advised Christians who had gone astray to come back.
According to him, one needed patience to serve God.
He encouraged them not to relent in prayers because prayer is the key.
