Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has appointed Prof. Isaac Zeb-Obipi as the new Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt.
The announcement was made in an official statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Tammy Danagogo, in Port Harcourt on Thursday. According to the statement, the appointment is effective immediately.
Prof. Zeb-Obipi succeeds Prof. Nlerum Okogbule, who was appointed by former Governor Nyesom Wike on March 5, 2020.
Zeb-Obipi, a Professor of Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management, previously served as the Director of the university’s Information and Communication Technology Centre before assuming his new role.
