Human rights advocate Dele Farotimi has been released from the Ekiti State Correctional Centre after fulfilling his bail conditions.
Farotimi’s release occurred on Tuesday morning following his arraignment at a magistrate court in Ado-Ekiti last Friday.
The court had set stringent bail conditions, including a ₦30 million bond, two sureties (one of whom must own a property), the submission of Farotimi’s passport, and a prohibition on granting media interviews post-release.
Speaking to reporters after his release, Farotimi maintained his stance, stating, “I have never had any cause to lie against anyone in my life. Whatever I have said about someone or an institution is the truth.”
