International Women’s Day:Lady Nwafor-Orizu reveals secret to successful home

The wife of former Senate president in Nigeria, Lady Ebelechukwu Odoziaku Nwafor-Orizu has stated two important qualities modern women lack that have caused high rate of divorce nowadays.

Lady Nwafor-Orizu while addressing some journalists in her residence in Otolo, Nnewi on Saturday, 8th of March, 2025 said International Women’s Day being celebrated every 8th of March has always been a day to celebrate women all over the world.

She said women nowadays, had no fear,they chose to live careless life all in the name of modernity.

She revealed that women lack commitment and loyalty to their husbands and reminded them that marriage remained an institution created by God Almighty which must be respected.

Lady Nwafor-Orizu maintained that a woman must be subservient to her husband in other to make her marriage to work. She said commitment must be from both parties and advised women to respect their husbands.

“Women should help their husbands in everything. They should know what their husbands need and avoid bad friends that will bring about chaos in their homes.

“Praise your husband when he does something, no matter how little it is .Do not compare him to others.In Front of your children, paint good image of your husband”she advised.

Lady Nwafor-Orizu further advised women to avoid this trending ideology”Women Equality ” adding it has destroyed so many homes. She encouraged women to apply wisdom in making their marriages to work.

She called on women to be committed in training their children,frowning at their neglect toward their responsibilities which according to her has led many children astray.

“A woman should not be too busy to train her children. Training of your children should not be the responsibility of your maid.

“Bond with your husband and children. Look after your girl child to know when she faces danger” she added.

She said “marriage is not a bed of roses but a good woman would make it to be one if she identifies ways to her man’s heart”.

“Be ready to serve your husband good food and be loyal to him.Do not to rub shoulders with him”she advised.
