No person was ever honoured for what he received, honor has been the reward for what he gave,Isingwu kindred in Oraifite in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State has conferred a true son of the soil,Chief Nnamdi Onuchukwu with a special title,”Ofuonye anaghi anu uda egbe” which means good deed is never hidden.
The title was given to Chief Onuchukwu,a London based trained professional, because of his good deeds towards the development of his community.
It must be noted that Onuchukwu has been one of the pillars in Isingwu community who worked tirelessly to make sure that the community remained peaceful and developed.
He has shipped some security gadgets worth millions of Naira to equip security agents in his community.
Isingwu community being proud of his undiluted commitment and dedication for the betterment of the community, isolated him specially for the title.
The Obi of Isingwu, Obi Chief Donald Igboanusi performing Kola ritual, prayed for God’s blessings on his subjects and declared that 2025 would bring so many good things in the lives of his subjects.
President General of Isingwu ,Chief Godwin Ugochukwu in his remarks, described Chief Onuchukwu as a true son of the soil whose immense contribution has helped in solidifying security in the community.
“We are proud of our community because in Oraifite as a whole, there is relative peace in terms of security. This was made possible because of men like Chief Onuchukwu ” he said
Reacting to the honor, Ofu onye anaghi anu uda egbe expressed his gratitude to God Almighty and to the community who found him worthy of the title.
He said the honor was because of his humble contribution towards the development of his local place.
He promised to help and support projects meant to bring about peace and progress in the community adding that he would stop at nothing to make it possible.
Chief Onuchukwu pledged that he would mobilize other Stakeholders and friends to make Isingwu the best community.
He said development remained contagious adding “if one community develops, others would follow suit “.
“Together we move,that is what life is all about. Without it we cannot fulfill our destiny, ” he added.
Ofu onye anaghi anu uda egbe described his title name as “If something good happens in ones life,it is not only about you,but others will feel it as well.
“When you hear the sound of a gun,it is not all about destruction, sometimes it can bring joy ,victory and celebration in the land.It depicts something good.
“I came up with the title name because i felt it in my spirit that it was deserving in line with my personality. It is not only me that would feel or hear about the good news, but others around me would feel the good news every step of the way,” he reaffirmed.
Chief Onuchukwu advised those God has blessed in the society to reach out and be a blessing to their community because according to him,” there is a blessing attached to it”.
“No man is an island, we need each other to fulfill our individual destiny.The privilege and opportunity for us to be born in a particular community,we need to return it back when God blesses us.When your people are happy, you are happy, that is the way i see life and i feel blessed doing it” he added
