The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has directed all tertiary institutions in Nigeria to conclude their 2025 admissions process by December 31, 2025.

In a bulletin released on Monday, the Board emphasized the importance of adhering to the new timelines to ensure a smooth academic calendar across the country.

According to the schedule,

Public universities must complete admissions by October 31, 2025.

Private universities have until November 30, 2025.

Polytechnics, colleges of education, and innovation enterprise institutions are required to finish their admissions by December 31, 2025.

JAMB explained that the timelines were agreed upon during the 2025 Policy Meeting on Admissions, which was chaired by the Minister of Education. The move, the Board said, is aimed at stabilising the academic calendar and ensuring that all applicants are given fair opportunities.

The examination body also made it clear that the deadlines apply to every institution, regardless of whether their academic sessions have commenced or not. It further urged schools still conducting post-UTME screenings to speed up the exercise and meet the schedule.

“All admission processes must be completed within the prescribed timelines,” JAMB warned, stressing that strict compliance is expected across the board
