The President General, PG, Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders’ Association, ASMATA, Chief Humphrey Anuna has warned traders of Electronics Spare parts Ogbaru who are reluctant to relocate or move into their new site for business of the possibility of losing their shops.

Anuna however praised those that started and completed their market shops adding that they really tried in their efforts especially in making the market lines to be. more spacious compared with other markets he visited in the State and confirmed their market to be the best construction.

He lamented that the traders in the market do not know the value (worth), of their market and that is the reason they refused to make use of it adding that the earlier they understand the value the better for them.

His words “if you are zero per cent in management, you are zero per cent in anything, the same zero per cent in management is what those that suppose to trade in this market are putting in this market.”

“The chairman of this market, Chief Victor Azubuike, with the type of spirit of leadership guiding him this market will move forward. Those that attended the general meeting should write down their shop numbers because for them to have the mind to procure this land for their site they must have such heart and belief in themselves by packing in here to trade.

“The meeting has to be adjourned and the next time I will come to this market, we will go round the shops and any shop shut, that is, the owner is not around, amounts to losing the ownership of the shop,” he warned

In his contribution, Hon Ifeanyi Orji, a pioneer member, thanked the executive for registering and inviting government to inaugurate their market and pleaded to the ASMATA PG to help them eject their co traders from Iweka to their new site.

“We built this market with our money but it seems like we abandoned it which you know that it is not good for someone to abandon his or her properties, as you can see there is light now in the market,” he posited.

In his contribution, the former chairman of Zone 5, Chief Anigbogu Louis, told the ASMATA PG to be strict in ejecting their members from Iweka to the new site even as he advised those who may feel offended sequel to the ejection to see it as a necessary evil, forgive and join in moving the market forward.

Earlier, Hon. Azunma Patrick, a trader in the market pleaded to ASMATA PG to help them in forcing others to come and join them.

“Some of our co-traders reason for not coming to the new site is because they refused to contribute their money when they were building the market saying that the new site may not work after building it. So they are now ashamed of their disobedience,” he disclosed.

Chairman of the market, Chief Victor Azubuike, told the traders that, “The shop levy is reduced to #5,000 in a month in other to be affordable to everyone.

“Everyone should pack into our new site and join us in trading so that we can move our market forward,” he pleaded
