Nnewichi community in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State has sympathized with the management of Ngobros Babymate diaper factory in Abubor Nnewichi, Nnewi over fire outbreak that struck the factory.
The fire outbreak which according to sources started around 5:00am on Wednesday destroyed property worth billions of naria.
While addressing our correspondent, the President General, Engr. Sir Emmanuel Udoka showed his regret over the unfortunate incident, advised community members to be mindful of fire outbreaks as they have entered harmattan season.
He urged them to follow official instructions and updates from authorities, assuring them of their committment in getting to the root of the fire.
He lauded the firefighters, who arrived at the scene shortly after they were alarted and worked tirelessly to ensure that they prevented the fire from spreading to adjourning gas plant within.
Noteworthy, the PG disclosed that their community responded to the emergency situation to assist, adding that the factory has been evacuated and the area cordoned off.
