From Ijeoma John, Nnewi.

One of strongest pillars in Nnewi Community in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Chief Eugene Okwuchukwu Okonkwo Nwizugbe(Anyanwu Igbo) has advised delegates for the forthcoming Nzuko-ora President General election to use their money to buy life and say no to godfatherism( Oga Ekwuona).

He disclosed this to some Newsmen on Monday, 3rd of February, 2025 in his residence at Otolo ,Nnewi.

While addressing the press,Nwizugbe encouraged the delegates not to sell their conscience by voting wrong candidate that would destroy Nnewi community completely.

He revealed to restore lost glory in the land, they need a man like their former PG,Prof Obienu who according to him in his time fought tooth and nail to take the community to a greater height.

Nwizugbe said that his preferred candidate remained Prof. Edwin Maduka Chukwuma.

“I chose Prof. Chukwuma because he has all it takes to restore our lost glory. He is educated like Prof.Obienu .He came out on his own,not Oga Ekwuona.

“Prof.Chukwuma is a man of his word.when he was given room to declare his interest at the Nzuko-ora Nnewi meeting on Sunday, 2nd of February,2025,he firmly stated his educational background and his track records which made him qualified for the position.

“I strongly believe, with him Nnewi will be better again. Let’s give him a chance to bring an end to godfatherism(Oga Ekwuona) and to restore our lost glory for the betterment of our community,Nnewi” he said.

Anyanwu Igbo further disclosed that Nnewi community would have been destroyed by kidnappers if not their great Governor’s intervention through his new security law aimed at restoring peace and security in the State.

“Before the new security outfits,we have witnessed so many criminal activities in the community. Our current PG was taken sometime ago, though we were not given account on how he was released, even the Board of Trustees didn’t address us and many others who were also kidnapped, killed in the process.

“With this Joint security initiative in Anambra State and Nnewi in particular, relative peace has been restored in the State”he added.
