As Oba community wait hopefully to see the outcome of the various litigations or a peaceful resolution of issues surrounding the election/selection of the EzeOkpoko II of Oba, the person who will assume the vacant throne left by His Majesty, Late Igwe Peter C. Ezenwa (EzeOkpoko 1 of Oba), the wife of one of the major contenders for the revered throne, Chief Dr Mrs Chinenye Ananti (Ogodiya) has urged Oba women to support her husband in his quest to become the next traditional ruler of Oba.
She also revealed that her family was going to establish a well equipped hospital for Children adding that she was going to assist Oba women having difficulty with child bearing to have their own children.
Addressing a cross section of Oba women (Inyom Ebii) at her husband’s compound, Isu Ebii village, Oba in Idemili South LGA, Anambra State, Dr Mrs Chinenye Ananti (Ogodiya), a pediatrician refuted the belief or assumption that her husband was too quiet to handle the enormous cum Herculean task of ruling the great ‘Oba ebo iteghete’ people.
Dr. Mrs Ananti, nee Ejindu who reiterated that her parents hails from Oba assured the women that the enthronement of her husband ‘Obataifeadi’ will usher in light to Oba community. “He is already involved and fully on ground. So, there must be light in Oba.
“You my fellow women know what we are into now in Oba. My husband Chief Barr. Vincent Chukwuma Ananti KSC. (Aninepungwu 1 Obataifeadi of Oba)is in the race to become the next Igwe and EzeOkpoko II of Oba.
“I hear that some people are saying that he is too quiet. But those people do not know him very well. That someone is Polished, Respectful or Gentle does not mean he is quiet.
“Aninepungwu Obataifeadi is not a Pushover at all. He respects human beings wether male or female. He has listening ears.
“He may look quiet but it is because he is Polished. He is not loud or loquacious claiming that he would do what he neither intends to do nor be able to do just to impress people. We say what we are sure we can do.
“My husband is not a talkative. After all, he is not owing anyone. We are self sufficient. We do not brag neither do we beg. My husband is a legal practitioner, Chief Ananti has an office at Lagos “V N Chukwuma Ananti &Co. and he is a Realtor in United States. You can verify it at Google.
“Do not be afraid wether he can manage Oba people and community. He would do that very very well because he is very experienced. He was President of Oba Patriotic Union Lagos branch. He was the Diamond Fitness Club Lagos Secretary General for 10 years. He also managed Oraukwu Grammar School Old Boys for years. Any position he assumes, they always wanted him to come back for 2nd or 3rd tenures.
“As I told you that we say what we will do. We shall build and equip a hospital here in Oba. Just like my hospital in Lagos where all forms of surgery and child delivery takes place. As a pediatrician, I also assist women having difficulty in child bearing due to age or any complications.
“I have passion for women who are childless. We do IVF where I work. We assist women in every way possible to be fertilized to bear children but if it becomes impossible, that is if the person’s womb cannot carry a child we counsel you to go for adoption. Adoption is not evil. Bad character is not in the blood,it is the training you give a child that will determine what the person becomes in the society.
“So, I encourage you and the entire Oba people to support my husband Chief Vincent Ananti (Aninepungwu Obataifeadi) because he will deliver. Moreso, as he goes about his kingship, I will work along with him to ensure that everyone around is medically well and cared for should the need arise.
“When he led OPUL branch for two terms. I was always with him with my stethoscope delivering medical talks. For 8 years anytime meeting was held I tell everyone to come out, cue and check their vitals, blood sugar, blood pressure, because many diseases and death are preventable if you discover early that you have an ailment. For instance, High or Low blood pressure is a silent killer.
“We were rendering all those services with love never knowing that a time like this period or opportunity for Igweship will arise. Support my husband because Barrister Vincent Chukwuma Aninepungwu Obataifeadi has come to bring Light and Light must shine in Oba”, said Chief Dr. Mrs Ananti.
