A total of 45,689 candidates are participating in a Computer-Based Aptitude Test Saturday, as part of the recruitment process for positions at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).
The aptitude test, being conducted at the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society Centenary Resource Centre in Maitama, Abuja, and other designated centres nationwide, represents the second phase of the recruitment exercise, which began earlier this year.
In July, NNPCL announced openings for various roles within its organization. According to Olufemi Soneye, the company’s spokesperson, the recruitment drive spans multiple departments, with detailed application instructions provided on the company’s careers page.
Updating the public in a Facebook post on Saturday, the national oil company emphasized its commitment to hiring the most qualified individuals.
The post stated, “As the Computer-Based Aptitude Test for NNPC Ltd.’s recruitment begins today at various centres across the country, 45,689 applicants compete in a transparent and inclusive recruitment process.”
NNPCL Group Chief Executive Officer Mele Kyari visited one of the testing centres to oversee the process. He assured candidates of a fair, transparent, and credible exercise.
“As an equal opportunity employer, NNPC Ltd. has made special provisions to ensure that applicants with disabilities can take the test without any hindrance. The GCEO reiterated that only the most qualified candidates among the 45,689 applicants will be selected for employment,” the statement read.
This recruitment marks one of the largest exercises by the company since its transition to a limited liability company in 2022.
