Legal practitioners in Nigeria have been enjoined to always maintain high standards of the profession in the interest of protecting the hope of the common man and the country at large.
A Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Chief Emeka Ozoani, made the appeal at the end of the year get-together organized by the Enugu State Lawyers Forum (ESLF) in Abuja.
Chief Ozoani remarked that much is always expected from lawyers as regards to dispensing of justice which does not require bias at any given time. He commended them for maintaining high standard of the professionalism.
Chief Ozoani, who also doubles as the National Welfare officer of the Nigeria Bar Association NBA, therefore called on the Enugu State Lawyers to build a block of unity to enable them achieve their aims of forming the forum.
In her address, the Chairman of the Enugu State Lawyers Forum, Barrister Juliet Ekeneokoye thanked the members of the Forum for keeping faith notwithstanding the economic downturn in the country.
She extolled the National Welfare of the NBA, Chief Ozoani for his resilience in embarking on measures that would unite the legal practioners in the country.
Barrister Ekeneokoye described Chief Ozoani, who hosted the event as an unbiased bar man with greater features to take higher responsibility in the Nigeria Bar Association in the near future.
Commending the members of the forum for their support in her leadership and promoting the affairs of the forum, she acknowledged participants for gracing the occasion.
Speaker after Speaker commended the leadership of the Forum for organising the event especially the chief host of the event, Chief Emeka Ozoani SAN for his welfarism to the NBA activities and the society at large.
