The Ebonyi State Police Command has confirmed the death of 10 people following an attack by suspected gunmen in Amagu village, Ishielu Local Government Area.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Joshua Ukandu, disclosed the incident in Abakaliki on Sunday.
Ukandu stated that the attack took place early Sunday morning.

“Several houses were also burnt selectively in the area and other properties destroyed.
“Upon receipt of the information, we drafted police operatives to the area.
“We are currently investigating the incident while normalcy has returned to the area,” he said.
