The Public Complaints Commission (PCC) Anambra State Branch Office, led by Hon. Federal Commissioner Hon Emmanuel Okechukwu, carried out an awareness and sensitization campaign at the Anaocha Local Government secretariat today, Wednesday, February 19, 2025. This campaign is a follow up to the courtesy visit on the local government chairman yesterday at the council secretariat.

Federal Commissioner Hon Emmanuel Okechukwu was accompanied by Mr Charles Ekwunife, State Director, Mr Obi Chidozie, Area Officer, and members of the Awareness and Sensitization unit.
The campaign involved speeches by the Hon Federal Commissioner, the State Director and the Area Officer and distribution of flyers and brochures containing information about the commission’s mandate, services, and contact details. The team also responded to questions and concerns from attendees and provided contact details for further inquiries.
The campaign was well-received by attendees, who expressed appreciation for the information provided. The Executive Chairman/Mayor of the local government, Comrade Rome Ibekwe, deputy Mayor, councillors, Presidents-General of communities, local government staff, corps members, students, and community leaders were in attendance.
The stakeholders in their various speeches in response to the Commission’s presentation recommend that regular sensitization and awareness campaigns should be organized to educate the public about the Commission’s mandate and activities in the state. They also recommended that the Commission should also establish a strong presence in local governments and communities to provide easy access to its services. Furthermore, the commission should consider partnering with local government associations and community leaders to amplify its sensitization and awareness efforts.
The awareness and sensitization campaign by the Anambra State office of Public Complaints Commission at Anaocha Local Government secretariat was a success, providing valuable information to stakeholders about the commission’s mandate and services. The PCC according to the Hon Commissioner would build on this success by organizing regular sensitization and awareness campaigns to educate the public about its activities.
