Dreaded bandit kingpin, Kachalla Dan Isuhu, was shot dead Thursday at Dan Jibga Market in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State by gunmen loyal to another bandit warlord, Dogo Gide.
According to a report by security analyst, Zagozola Makama, the notorious bandit commander and younger brother to another wanted bandit kingpin -Ado Alero, had prior to his elimination encountered troops of Operation FANSAN, Hybrid forces and the vigilante group at about 1700hrs.
In the aftermath of the encounter, nine bandits were neutralized while three local vigilante paid the supreme price As he sustained bullet wounds and fled.
It was gathered that Dan Isuhu who was fighting many enemies was later ambushed inside a shop owned by one Alhaji Habu, known for selling luxurious fabrics and clothing materials by another bandits fighters loyal to Dogo Gide who stormed the market and opened fire, ensuring Isuhu had no chance to escape.
His killing comes just two days after a violent clash between him and another top bandit leader, Kachalla Bakin Sifindi.
On March 25, 2025, Isuhu killed Bakin Sifindi and one of his close associates near Sabon Birni, between the forests of Munhaye and Tsafe.
The attack reignited long standing tensions among rival bandit factions. Dogo Gide, a feared bandit leader operating in Zamfara and Niger States, saw the killing of Bakin Sifindi as a direct provocation. Already seeking revenge, Gide mobilized his men to track down Isuhu, who was already suffering injuries during encounters with troops, leading to today’s assassination in Dan Jibga Market.
