Samben Nwosu sponsors women football tournament in preparation for mother’s Sunday.

In preparation for 2025 Mother’s Day, a leading Young Progressive Party(YPP) aspirant for the forthcoming Anambra South Senatorial District bye-election, Prince Samben Ikechukwu Nwosu has sponsored football tournament in preparation for Mothering Sunday.

The match which was between Obiofia Otolo women and Ndiakwu Otolo women at St Cletus field, on 29th of March, 2025, ended with a draw.

In a telephone chat, the sponsor, Prince Samben Nwosu described mothers as the bedrock of the family. He reminded mothers that they have a great role to play in shaping family values adding that since they are seen as mirror and therefore, should endeavor to live a life worthy of emulation.

Samben Nwosu acknowledged the challenges mothers faced, particularly in ensuring better life for their children and assured them of his commitment to ensuring quality programs that would help in molding and empowering future leaders which will in turn make us as parents proud.

He pleaded with them to pray ceaselessly for their families, the church, the government and the society at large.

Samben Nwosu wished all mothers a blissful celebration and prayed that their labors would never be in vain but, rewarded in due time.

Appreciating the kind gesture, Mr Chidiebele Okonkwo (Paddy Eke) thanked Nwosu for putting smiles on the faces of the women and prayed that the good Lord would grant all his heart desires.

He suggested that the women’s football match should be continued, especially in festive periods to entertain people adding that the match was fully graced by a mammoth crowd.
