Catch them Young Community Initiative (CATYCOI) has called on people of Anambra state especially the youths to participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ahead of November 8, 2025 Governorship Election.

The exercise commenced on Monday, July 8, 2025, and will end on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

Registration is ongoing daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., including weekends, in all Registration Areas (Wards) across the State.

Executive Director, Nonso Orakwe in a statement on Thursday stressed the need for the youths to recognize that real change commences with power of the vote and such power would only start with being registered.

He encouraged young people to turn out in large numbers, mobilize their peers, and take full advantage of the remaining days of this CVR window.

He said, “CATYCOI passionately calls on all young people across Anambra State to take charge of their future by participating in the ongoing CVR.

“This is a defining moment for the youth of Anambra as the most energetic and vibrant segment of society.

“Young people must recognize that real change begins with the power of the vote and that power starts with being registered.

“CATYCOI urges the following categories of young people to take part in the registration: First-time voters aged 18 and above, students and apprentices, Young entrepreneurs, artisans, and workers.

“Young people who have relocated or changed their residential address as well as Women and Persons with Disabilities.

“Let no young person be left behind. This is not the time for apathy or indifference. It is the time to stand up, be counted, and shape the future of our state.

“Your voice, your vote, and your participation matter more than ever. The future of Anambra belongs to us. Let’s claim it by registering to vote. Together, we will build a better, stronger Anambra State.

“CATYCOI is a youth-led, non-profit, non-partisan, community-based organization committed to contributing to global efforts that promote good governance, democracy, civic engagement, and inclusive policy-making.

“CATYCOI has been in the forefront of mobilizing young people to participate in political and electoral processes in Anambra state and beyond.

“CATYCOI will continue to support civic education, voter mobilization, and awareness efforts throughout the ongoing registration and electoral process.”
