President Bola Tinubu has submitted a formal request to the Senate for the screening and confirmation of Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Ude, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) from Enugu State, as a Minister of the Federal Republic.
The nomination was announced on Tuesday during plenary, after Senate President Godswill Akpabio read the President’s letter to lawmakers on the Senate floor.
Following the announcement, Senator Akpabio referred the nomination to the Senate Committee of the Whole for thorough consideration and screening in accordance with legislative procedure.
Dr. Ude, a respected legal practitioner and SAN, is expected to undergo the constitutional screening process in the coming days.
