Former Minister of Special Duties and a leading aspirant for the position of National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, has officially submitted his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms.

Turaki, who has reportedly gained the backing of a majority of the party’s stakeholders as a consensus candidate, submitted the documents to the PDP National Convention Organizing Committee (NCOC) at its Legacy House Secretariat on Shehu Shagari Way, Maitama, Abuja, on Monday.

The party has scheduled its Elective National Convention for November 15 and 16, 2025, in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The former minister arrived at the venue in the company of his friends and political associates.

Meanwhile, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sule Lamido, who is also in the race for the top party position, visited the PDP headquarters in Abuja earlier in the day to purchase his nomination form. However, there were no officials available to attend to him.

An apparently frustrated Lamido told journalists that he might seek legal redress if he remains unable to obtain the forms
