The All Progressives Congress (APC) State Assembly Forum (ASAF) has expressed its joy over the resolve of the former Rivers State PDP Presidential Campaign Council and members of the PDP in the state to key into the Renewed Hope agenda of the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration of President Bola Tinubu.
The PDP group, after its meeting in Port Harcourt, said it has reviewed its activities and resolved that “The elections are over, and the Supreme Court has ruled on the finality of that contest, pronouncing His Excellency Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (GCFR), as the duly elected President of Nigeria.”It, therefore, agreed to stand by that verdict as law-abiding citizens and responsible leaders of the party in Rivers State, adding that “we recognize the elected President of our country and pledge our full support for the success of his administration for the benefit of all Nigerians.
In effect, we subscribe to the Renewed Hope Agenda and the President’s efforts at strengthening our economy, promoting peace, and harmony in our dear country, Nigeria.The Rivers PDP group, in a statement signed by Alabo Abiye Sekibo, Director-General of the former Rivers State PDP Presidential Campaign Council, and Senator Lee Meeba, Chairman of the council, noted that “In the same vein, His Excellency, Amaopusenibo Sir Siminalayi Fubara was elected democratically as Governor of Rivers State and also confirmed by the Supreme Court.
As indigenes of Rivers State, we have no choice but to give our dear Governor our total loyalty and support for the progress of our state. We urge our Governor and Mr. President to work together for the good of Rivers people
.”With the elections over, now is the time for real governance for the progress of our nation. We wish to let the President know that a vast majority of Rivers people are solidly with our Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara and will not allow an illegal and unconstitutional assembly of any sort to impeach him or disrupt the smooth governance of our dear state and cause a breach of public peace.”
The PDP group noted that Rivers State is too economically strategic for the nation to be toyed with, especially at a time when the nation is looking to maximize its oil production to meet its OPEC quota.”
We, therefore, call on all Nigerians irrespective of party, tribal, or ethnic affiliations to rally around the President Tinubu administration so that working together, we will collectively overcome these hard economic and security challenges facing us all.

Long live our dear Rivers State.”Describing the defunct PDP Presidential Campaign Council position as a move that has further strengthened peace in Rivers State, the APC State Assembly Forum, in a statement issued late Friday by its Director-General, Ambassador Fubara Dagogo, sued for further peace in the state, adding that with the strategic position of Rivers State in the nation, all state stakeholders must join hands to move the state forward, so that residents would enjoy the dividends of democracy in the state.
Ambassador Fubara Dagogo, a former councilorship candidate under the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in 2011 and APC House of Assembly candidate for Bonny State constituency in the 2019 general election, emphasized the need for stakeholders in Rivers State to embrace the peace brokered by President Bola Tinubu among the warring factions, stressing that the support for both President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sim Fubara would yield dividends in the state.”
This is a much-welcomed development from the PDP stakeholders in the state. Both President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sim Fubara need the total support of all Rivers people and Nigeria in general to deliver the Renewed Hope agenda, especially at this period that our country is facing its trial period.”The Rivers State governor has proved beyond reasonable doubt that he is here for the people.
With his people-oriented programs already in place, all he needs is the full support of all stakeholders for him to add to lifting the state to further development heights.”We urge all Rivers people and stakeholders to emulate the position of the former Rivers PDP Presidential Campaign Council and other party executives to drum up more support for both President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sim Fubara so the state can continue to enjoy the peace that would promote further development and dividends of democracy.
It is only a state with peace that such development would be enjoyed by citizens,” the ASAF Director-General noted.
