The former President General of Uruagu community in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Chief Ambassador Charles Nwonye has frowned on the irregularities in the just concluded PG election, crediting it to the Board of Trustees Chairman, Chief Timothy Okeke.

In bringing to the notice of the people of Uruagu home and in diaspora,he stated that in the last four years, the same irregularities existed which the constitution later prevailed.Nwonye noted that it was agreed that the then Executives should step down for new Executives to emerge.

He revealed that they agreed that the then constitution should be amended to set the record straight.Nwonye disclosed that election that produced the present PG, Hon.Innocent Okoli, was full of fraud, adding that no accountability in his previous tenure.

“The same irregularities have been in existence in Uruagu. Are we going to continue in it?.I thought,we are known to be wise people?,what image are we presenting?.

“I am very certain that we have set of people in Uruagu, who are bent on destroying our collective efforts. They don’t like good things. How can someone deceive others to get court injunction?,something is definitely wrong,” he noted.

Nwonye made it clear to all the delegates that it remained impossible to turn irregularities into regularities.

“Anyone who supported the election ,supported bad deeds to continue in Uruagu. I stand to condemn the election.

“Throughout my four years as Uruagu PG, I was humiliated, accused of things ,I didn’t do,just because they desired the seat.

“Today, those youths they used as tools, are now against them because they have seen their intentions”,he further disclosed.

Nwonye said some of the BoT members that messed up things have resigned to protect their dignity because of his warning.

He revealed that the just concluded election was conducted by some of Executives not the BoT.
He thanked some of BoT women who protected their image by tendering resignation to appropriate authority.

Nwonye warned the BoT Chairman of the impending danger, if he fail to resign.
He called on the people of Uruagu to open their eyes not to be scammed the second time.
