The nations’ National Assembly (NASS) has been grounded as the NLC/TUC declared indefinite nationwide strike spreads across the country
Organized Labour announced the commencement of its indefinite strike over minimum wage, as NASS late intervention on Sunday failed to yield any result
While the federal government has offered to pay a N68, 000 minimum wage, labour is demanding N496,000,00, amid the hard bitting economic policies of government
Enforcing the strike action on the early hours of Monday organized labour blocked all the entrances to the National Assembly to prevent both staff and parliamentarians to gain access to their various offices
The second gate to the NASS complex has been blocked with two 16-seater buses.
Also the alternate gate to the annex building which would have been the alternative entrance for workers was blocked with officials of both unions on ground to implement and monitor the strike.
Workers of the National Assembly who were denied entrance could be seen as they gathered in groups discussing the development.
