Barely 24 hours after it’s attack and abduction of over 280 pupils in a Kaduna state primary school, terrorists have struck again in Sokoto state where they have similarly abducted an unspecified number of students
Confirming the incident the member representing Gada-East Constituency in the Sokoto State House of Assembly, Alhaji Kabiru Dauda, said the terrorists attacked a school in Tsangsya and abducted an unspecified number of Tsangaya students at Gidan Bakuso in Gada Local Government Area of the state.
Hon. Dauda said he received a call that the students were kidnapped around 1:00 am on Saturday,
Also confirming the attack, the proprietor of the school, Liman Abubakar, said 15 students were unaccounted for, so far, adding, “We are still counting.”
According to Abubakar, the bandits invaded the town around 1:00 am, shot one person and abducted a woman.
He added that as they were leaving the town, they sighted the students rushing into their hostels and kidnapped many of them.
Commenting on the incident the member representing, Isa Constituency, Habibu Modachi, who equally confirmed the attack, said it was a reprisal attack after security operatives raided bandits’ hideouts in the area two days ago.
