Head for Special Duties in Nnewi North Local Government Area, Mr Austin Manuel Jidiofor has said Late Sen Ifeanyi Ubah remained irreplaceable except God showed the people of Nnewi mercy again.
He made this known on Saturday, 23rd of November, 2024 during the burial of late Sen Ubah at his hometown in Umuanuka,Otolo Nnewi.
Jidiofor said his death was so painful adding that they were grieved.
“30 years today would be hard to see a replacement like him in this town but we can’t question God. It is God that knows why it happened”.he said
He prayed that God would console his family to find strength in the Lord.
Amb Paul Muoneke,the immediate past president of Nnewi Youth Forum and Chairmanship candidate of the Young Progressive Party(YPP) described late Ubah as a great icon, an iroko,a good man with a large heart and a patriotic citizen who had the Igbos at heart.
Muoneke said Nnewi community would missed him greatly especially his philanthropic nature.
On security, he said late Ubah instituted a very strong security architecture in Nnewi,revealing that he devoted his time,money for adequate security in Nnewi.
” He empowered youths who had nothing doing,built houses for widows and helped less privileged families both indigenes and non indigenes, ” he disclosed
Muoneke revealed that he was one of the beneficiaries of late Ubah philanthropic nature.
“Late Ubah took some of us to Dubai where we were exposed to so opportunities. I was able to visit Ministry of Education in Ďubai, what i learnt there helped me a lot in running my school” he added
