German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt has completed the signing of Nigerian international, Raphael k Onyedika from Belgium Jupiler league champions, Club Brugge

The Bundelsliga side while announcing the switch, described the midfielder as a key addition to the club’s long-term plans.

The 25-year-old put pen to paper on a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2031.

Speaking after the transfer was confirmed on the Club’s X handle on Sunday, Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche said Onyedika’s qualities made him an ideal fit for the Bundesliga side.

“Raphael Onyedika impresses us not only with his robustness and strategic understanding of the game, but above all with his exceptional consistency. He has been a regular starter for several years and has celebrated numerous titles in Belgium,” Krösche told the club’s official website.

The Frankfurt chief also highlighted the midfielder’s experience and potential for further growth.

“Furthermore, he possesses valuable international experience. At 25 years old, he still has great potential for development and is also an important building block for the structure of our squad,” he added.

Onyedika arrives in Germany after a successful spell with Club Brugge, where he won two Belgian league titles, the Belgian Cup and the Belgian Super Cup. Before moving to Belgium, he also lifted the Danish Cup with FC Midtjylland.

The move marks another major step in the Nigerian international’s career as he prepares for his first season in the Bundesliga.
