Nnewi Advancement Charity (UK) Health Centre Nnewi in Nnewi North Local
Government Area of Anambra State has organized free Health outreach and empowerment programme.
The program which took place on Saturday,14th of December, 2024 at NAC Health Center permanent site at Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State, witnessed free sugar test ,blood pressure check,urine test and other health checks with doctors and nurses readily available to attend the participants.
The participants who attended the program were empowered during an interactive session with specialists in medical field and were also given food-items to appreciate them for honoring the invitation.
Mrs Ebere Okoli,the Center Manager of NAC Nnewi, speaking during the program said NAC which its chairman was Dr Sir Wilson Onyeka,a medical doctor based in UK has been in existence for 17 years now stating that its aim was to help the less privileged ones within the locality. Mrs Okoli disclosed that “the center operates from Monday to Saturday”.
“Every festive period,our Chairman,not only gives free medical treatment, he also distributes food items to our patients.He recently awarded students that participated in just concluded essay competition at Obi Uruagu Nnewi with cash awards” she added.
Mrs Okoli said that program was massively graced which according to her was a welcome development. She revealed that all that attended went home rejoicing..
She encouraged people to do charity for humanity sake.
She also appealed to the Government to assist them
by sending more doctors and nurses to work with them,give them drugs as they give to others, donate generator because of power challenges they face.
“We need the government to come to our aid and do something especially grading the road that leads to the Health center and also give us light or install solar energy because we are all working toward the same goal” she appealed.
Speaking,Hon Akpuke Emeka Innocent(Emmy Banana)the media past publicity secretary of Umudim Nnewi Development Association appraised Dr Sir Wilson Onyeka for his wonderful initiative of prioritizing their health first.
He called the Chairman a good man who according to him answered whenever he was called especially in difficulties.
Akpuke said Dr Onyeka has been a pillar in Nnewi especially in Health sector and commended his philanthropic nature for the wellbeing of the community.
