Dr Adedeji Adeleke, who is the father of afro beat superstar David Adeleke (Davido), has disclosed how, in collaboration with his Chinese business partners, generate 15 per cent of Nigeria’s electricity..
He made the claim while speaking at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church’s General Conference Annual Council 2024 on October 15th.
“I’m in the electricity business, I own power plants. I generate about 15 per cent of Nigeria’s electricity. I’ve Chinese engineering companies that work for me. I am building the biggest thermal power plant in Nigeria to be launched in January 2025. It’s a 1250MW power plant,” he said.

His claim is coming on the heels of the collapse of the national grid.
