The Chief Medical Director, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, NAUTH, Prof Joe Ugboaja has described His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a Leader who has a special place in his heart for Ndi Igbo for establishing a multi billion naira Regional Radio Diagnostic Center in NAUTH, Anambra State saying that it would reverse medical tourism in the South East region.
The NAUTH CMD, Prof. Joe Ugboaja made the remark during the Grand reception for the New Board Chairman, Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori held at the permanent site of the hospital on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
According to Ugboaja, Our major achievement in 2025 will be the establishment of the multi billion naira regional Radio – Diagnostic Center to reverse medical tourism from our region.
“The NAUTH Mega project remains a testament to Mr. President’s love for Ndi Igbo and the people of the South East”.
“I want to specially appreciate the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Hon. Coordinating Minister of Health & Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammadu Ali Pate, CON for their support to us”.
He also said that by the time the 2000- bed capacity facility being built in the perm site was completed among other numerous projects already completed and ongoing, NAUTH would become the biggest and best in Nigeria.
Earlier in his address, the new NAUTH Board Chairman, Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori assured the management, staff and students of the institution that his priority as he takes up the new appointment from Mr President was to seek and ensure their Welfare, Wellbeing and Motivation.
