President Bola Tinubu has approved the redeployment of 11 Federal Permanent Secretaries to new positions across various ministries.
This was announced in a statement issued on Thursday by Mrs. Eno Olotu, Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation.
According to the updated schedule, Mr. Gabriel Aduda has been reassigned from the Ministry of Women Affairs to the Ministry of Defence. Mr. Olumuyiwa Enitan Abel, formerly with Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, will now serve in the Ministry of Education as an understudy to the Permanent Secretary.
Other changes include Mr. Temitope Peter Fashedemi’s transfer from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security to the State House, and Dr. Shuaib Mohammed Lamido Belgore’s move from the Ministry of Regional Development to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.
Additional adjustments saw Dr. Marcus Olaniyi Ogunbiyi shifted from Housing and Urban Development to Agriculture and Food Security, while Adebiyi Olusesan Olufunso moved from the State House to the Ministry of Works. Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana was reassigned from the Ministry of Defence to Aviation and Aerospace Development, and Dr. Yakubu Adam Kofarmata transferred from the Ministry of Works to Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction.
Furthermore, Raymond Omenka Omachi was posted from the Common Services Office at the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation to the Ministry of Finance (Special Duties). Mrs. Tinuke Watti, previously with the former Ministry of Sports Development, was moved to the Ministry of Regional Development, while Dr. Maryam Ismaila Keshinro was reassigned from the Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs to the Ministry of Women Affairs.
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, has directed that all handing-over and taking-over processes must be completed by December 31, 2024.
