Gov. Zulum commends Gov Idris, urges continuity for sustainable development
Our Reporter
Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has attributed the remarkable socio-economic and infrastructural progress recorded in many states to experienced leadership, commitment to service delivery, patriotism, and the judicious use of federal allocations under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
Governor Zulum stated this at the weekend while receiving the Kebbi State Governor’s Media Team during an advocacy visit to media organizations and engagement with critical stakeholders in governance.
He specifically commended Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Nasir Idris, describing him as “a straightforward person whose personality and integrity have never been in doubt.”
According to Zulum, the Kebbi Governor’s leadership has resulted in unprecedented development across key sectors, including education, infrastructure, healthcare delivery, security, and results-oriented economic empowerment programmes.
“With genuine interest to serve, patriotism, selflessness, and above all the fear of God, meaningful development can be achieved,” the Borno Governor said.
He further described Governor Idris as a former labour leader with rare qualities of patriotism, compassion, generosity, and commitment to welfare and justice.
Zulum noted that Idris possesses the tenacity to consolidate gains and sustain the execution of impactful developmental projects.
Based on what he called Idris’ “undisputable track record of integrity, dedication, and resilience,” Governor Zulum advised the people of Kebbi State to appreciate the developmental strides and support the continuity of the administration.
“It’s better to continue with the one that has been tested and undoubtedly trusted,” he said, adding that this will ensure “sustained phenomenal socio-economic growth” for the state.
Speaking on Borno State, Governor Zulum said his administration has, through intensive prayers and commitment of enormous resources, succeeded in restoring relative peace and security.
He added that many Internally Displaced Persons, including those who returned from neighbouring Chad and Cameroon Republics, have been resettled.
The leader of the Media Team and Commissioner of Information and Culture Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed BK had earlier told the Governor that they were at the government house to present a special goodwill message from his and brother, Comrade Governor Nasir Idris before proceeding for a engagement, at a town hall meeting with Kebbi State indigenes resident in Borno State.
